Fences

Choosing a fence design

We have four standard fence designs:

  • Basic Horizontal

  • Basic Vertical

  • Deluxe Horizontal

  • Deluxe Vertical

However we can custom design to suit your needs.

Things to consider:

  • Cost

  • Privacy

  • Surrounding fences

  • Sharing costs with your neighbours

The Process

  1. Cory Clement owner of Clement Contracting estimates each job individually. He will come to your house and assess the needs.

  2. Are there any buried cables? We call Manitoba Hydro to make sure it is safe before we dig.

  3. We demo the old fence

  4. We set posts along the property line

  5. We build the fence

That’s it. It’s simple and is usually completed within 5-10 days start to finish. This can vary depending on the season and the size of the job.

The Price

A good quote for a fence should range between $45-$75 per linear foot.

Talking to your neighbours is always a good idea. Most neighbours are willing to share the cost if they are included in the discussion. Remember good fences make great neighbours. Clement Contracting can help talk to your neighbours and if an agreement is reached we can invoice each customer separately for their portion of the fence.

Whatever your budget please remember that a good fence is an investment it should last 25-30 years. Think about how long you will remain in the house and divide the cost by that time. Or, ask a realtor to assess the increase in value to your house with a proper fence if you are considering selling. A fence can drastically change the landscape of your property and often pays for itself in increased equity in your home.

Maintenance

We build with only the highest quality treated lumber from local suppliers. Our standard fence is brown treated spruce.

Our brown spruce fences require no maintenance. They come treated from the factory they do not need to be painted or stained.

We stand behind our work. If you have any problems call us. Our reputation is our most important asset. Sometimes a board splits, sometimes a hinge sags. Aging is a normal part of any wood product. But if anything exceeds industry standard we will replace it as part of our guaranteed warranty.
